Hotel La Fontaine Caen Centre

The cleanliness of the room and the warm hospitality from the owner made the stay very enjoyable.

Brilliant location, the breakfast was wonderful with delicious home made quatre quarts and local dishes, as example. The hotel was placed within 0.5 miles of the airport.

Lots of food at breakfast, such as croissants, slices of fresh bread, yogurt, and cheese. Spotless room and exceptionally kind stuff with very friendly manager. Great and excellant location to train station area, easy to get anywhere. Close enough to transport, and restaurants and sites...

I thought coffee would be waiting for me before 6am, but surely that's a high expectation for this place. Parking isn't included-even though every decent hotel does that. I nearly considered giving a good review, but when i asked for a room upgrade, they looked at me like i was crazy. Disappointing, to say the least.

Location: the hotel was really close to easy drive to D-Day landing beaches and centrum. Quick bites Paye ta Crepe was 200 metres away from the place...

Wonderful small hotel!

Great choice for trip. Everything was fabulous, including amiable staff and fab location close to the city centre. The rooms - fashionable, extremely pleasant with excellent shower and double glasing windows. Location just next door to shopping, restaurants, sightseeings in the whole area and Normandy. Again, not far from a landmark Catholic church.

My rollercoaster experience!

The room was peaceful, perfect for sleep. Breakfast was delicious.

Parking was tight, and carrying luggage up to the third floor was quite a challenge.

During our trip, we were looking to explore the historical sites, and the location was perfect for that. The nearby Caen Castle was just a short walk away, and it was great to have the option to make hot drinks anytime we wanted. We enjoyed a nice breakfast spread including fresh croissants and juices. The host was accommodating, even helping with our bags, which added a nice touch to our stay.

Stayed at la fontaine caen centre for one night and loved it. The room was small but impeccably clean and very quiet, perfect for a good night's sleep. The comfortable bed with great bed linen really stood out. Breakfast was a highlight too, with a lovely selection to start the day. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city.

Breakfast was tasty, and complimentary coffee and tea made our mornings even better. The owners were cute and really helpful, giving us great tips on where to eat and visit.

If you're not up for some stairs, this might not be ideal, as we had to carry our bags up quite a few steps.

Really good Service and Cozy Stay!

A wonderful experience! The warm welcome after a late arrival was heartening-entry codes facilitated our check-in, and our room was ready. We loved the cozy atmosphere and the thoughtful conversations with the owner about local attractions.

The ability to make hot drinks at any hour? Simply good! A cozy stay that felt quite personal.

Guess that's one way to keep fit on holiday!
